I was so looking forward to Ian and Miro interacting again. There was a part in the middle of the book, when Ian is away on a mission, that felt like it dragged on too long without anything happening on the romance front. In this one I feel it didn’t happen too much, though Miro has 4 close female friends who adore him and an ex-lover who tries to wriggle his way back into his life.
Reading reviews of other books by Mary Calmes it seems this is a recurring theme in her work. ‘Frog’ was alright, but the way that the MC was instantly loved and doted on by everybody became grating. This is my second Mary Calmes (audio)book and I like this one very, very much.
Great romance, solid story, great narration
